The United States is set to host a 5-day investor roadshow in Nigeria. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission in Nigeria and the United States government’s Prosper Africa and Power Africa initiatives will host the show to boost the investment ecosystem in Nigeria.
The investor roadshow will take place from October 9 to October 13. American investors can invest money in Nigeria with the help of the roadshow.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), 12 executives from the leading United States pension funds with over 1 trillion dollars in assets, would hold meetings with Nigerian companies during the roadshow in Nigeria. Nigerians can expect investment from the United States during the US 5-day investor roadshow in Nigeria.
US investors will assess business and project opportunities before investing money in Nigerian companies and startups.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) said in a statement, “The roadshow comes at an opportune time, given the significant reforms instituted by the Nigerian government under a new administration.”
Will Stevens, U.S Consulate General Lagos, Nigeria, said that the investor roadshow would advance investment opportunities in the country.
The investor roadshow aims to boost trade and investment relationships between American and Nigerian partners. Will Stevens said, “I would like to thank USAID for supporting this inaugural delegation of U.S. investors, in partnership with Chapel Hill Denham and International Investor Network.”
The US investors will visit sites in Abuja and Lagos. They will participate in investor pitch sessions. They will analyze everything before laying out plans for U.S. trade and investment priorities in the country.
USAID’s efforts will help to boost private sector investment into infrastructure projects in Nigeria. USAID’s efforts will also be helpful for Nigeria’s agriculture, water, sanitation and hygiene, and renewable energy sectors.
Chapel Hill Denham – a leading independent investment banking, securities trading and investment management firm in Nigeria – and International Investor Network will be responsible for overlooking the investor roadshow in the country.
