The ICC (International Cricket Council.) Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 will take place between 10 to 26 February in South Africa. Ten teams will clash to win the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup trophy.
The tournament will be played at three venues in South Africa, including Newlands, Boland Park in Paarl, and St George’s Park in Gqeberha. The majority of matches of the tournament will be played at Newlands. Reportedly, five fixtures will be held at St George’s Park in Gqeberha. Newlands will also host the semi-finals and the final match.
The 10 teams are divided into two groups. Group A includes Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Group B consists of England, India, Pakistan, West Indies and Ireland. The South African team directly qualified as hosts.
Each team will play the other four teams in their group once. The top two teams from each group will play the semi-final matches on February 23 and 24. The final match is scheduled for February 26. A reserve day is also available on February 27.
The event will start on February 10 at Newlands, Cape Town. The final match will also take place in the same venue.
