Why did South Africa cancel the Burna Boy show?

Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu MFR, AKA Burna Boy, was set to perform in Johannesburg, South Africa’s biggest city, on 23 September 2023. However, South Africa canceled the Burna Boy show. 

What is the reason behind the cancelation of the Burna Boy show? Has Burna Boy postponed his Johannesburg concert? When will Burna Boy perform in South Africa?

Burna Boy show canceled in South Africa

Ticket Pro of South Africa canceled the Burna Boy show, which was scheduled to take place at FNB Stadium, Johannesburg, on 23 September 2023. 

The Burna Boy After Tour was scheduled to start in South Africa on Saturday. However, the Burna Boy show got canceled because of low ticket sales.  

Ticket Pro said in a statement, “This decision comes as a result of careful consideration and assessment of various factors, including the lack of ticket sales. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause for those who have already purchased tickets.”

What is the new date of the Burna Boy show?

The Burna Boy concert will now take place at FNB Stadium, Johannesburg, on 16 December 2023. Those who have already purchased the ticket can now use it for the 16 December show. 

According to knowledgeable sources, the Ternary Media Group thanked FNB Stadium, suppliers, sponsors and Burna Boy for understanding the Ticket Pro’s challenging period.
