Why The 2023 Africa’s Business Heroes Summit And Grand Finale Isn’t Just A Celebration

Jack Ma, the visionary founder of Alibaba Group, was inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit he encountered during his first trip to Africa in 2017.

This led to the creation of the ABH programme, a commitment to identify and elevate African entrepreneurs who are making a tangible difference in their communities.

The philanthropic programme aims to support 100 African entrepreneurs over the course of 10 years. The selected ones receive grand funding and invaluable training.

Burgeoning Entrepreneurial Spirit In Africa

The ABH Prize Competition is a beacon of hope for entrepreneurs across the continent. It’s open to individuals from all 54 African countries, regardless of age or sector.

The year 2023 marks the fifth anniversary of the ABH programme, signifying the halfway point in its 10-year commitment to uplift African entrepreneurs.

The upcoming event reflects the burgeoning entrepreneurial spirit in Africa as a staggering 27,267 applications have poured in, the highest since the programme’s inception.

A Glimpse Into The Event

The 2023 ABH Summit and Grand Finale is a momentous return to physical events. This means the public can witness entrepreneurs pitch their ideas live to inspiring global leaders.
