WOMEN’S OLYMPICS: South Africa Dominates Tanzania, Moves Closer to Qualification

South Africa secured a comfortable victory on Friday evening against Tanzania in the first leg of the qualifying matches for the 2024 Olympics.

The Banyana Banyana team took an early lead against the Twigas Stars when Jermaine Seoposenwe found the back of the net in the 10th minute, assisted by Hildah Magaia. South African captain Thembi Kgatlana extended the lead in the 57th minute.

To add to their dominance, Magaia scored the third goal in the 86th minute, sealing a resounding 3-0 victory. The South African women’s team will look to confirm their performance in the second leg scheduled for February 27th at Mbombela Stadium.
