AB de Villiers, a South African famous international cricketer, thinks that Virat Kohli, an Indian international cricketer and the former captain of the Indian national cricket team, is the real GOAT (Greatest of All Time) of RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore).
AB de Villiers, one of the highest-paid cricketers in South Africa, has reacted to Virat Kohli’s record-breaking seventh IPL (Indian Premier League) hundred against Gujarat Titans (GT) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday.
The Indian batsman smashed a 60-ball hundred against GT. Kohli broke Jamaican legend Chris Gayle’s record for most hundred in the history of the IPL. Gayle scored 6 IPL centuries in his career, while Kohli scored 7 IPL centuries.
Kohli was unbeaten on 101 runs off 61 balls. On Sunday, he scored 13 fours and 1 six. Subsequently, millions of wishes poured into social media. AB de Villiers also praised Kohli on Twitter. He wrote on Twitter, “Virat is there when we need him!”
After the match, Kohli also appreciated his performance. He said, “We pretty much pulled things back towards the end. Close to 200 is a winnable score for me. It’s upon the bowlers to execute. I felt great.”
Gayle also reacted to Kohli’s performance. He said, “Never doubt Virat Kohli. Kohli has put his team in a winning position. Fantastic innings by him and he has passed the Universe Boss. I am coming back out of retirement and I will see you next year, Virat.” The Indian star player is also one of the top three batsmen to hit 2 back-to-back hundreds in the tournament.
During the match on Sunday, Kohli’s wife Anushka Sharma blew some flying kisses from the stands. Hardik Pandya, the captain of GT, also hugged Kohli for his great performance.
