According to Jowhar news, the leader of the Wadajir party and one of the candidates for the presidency of Abdirahman Abdishakur has revealed that he has received information that a plan is underway to divide the Somali military. Abdirahman Abdishakur said the military should be divided into two factions: a pro-Farmajo faction that wants to loot the election and those who want to wage war to keep them busy.
“We have reliable information that the Armed Forces (CXD) will be divided into those who are loyal to the outgoing president and those who are suspicious. Army Chief General Odawa and infantry commander Gen. Bihi is doing the job, troops suspected of being dishonest will be sent to the front lines of terrorist groups, while those whose integrity has been verified are being prepared for election looting and attacks on opposition politicians, said AbdirahmanAbdishakur.
AbdirahmanAbdishakur warned the army chief not to lead to the collapse of the army, and to exclude him from politics, noting that the order would not remove him from his crimes.

The politician’s remarks come at a time when the Somali military government has recently used the eagle to stop protests planned by the opposition in Mogadishu. This comes at a time when the country is going through a very difficult political situation and the end of the government conference and regional administrations in Mogadishu is approaching. In the past, the outgoing government has been accused of using the military for personal gain, as evidenced by the February 19 incident in Mogadishu.
