A domestic feud ended on a bitter notice after a man stabbed and killed his wife in Gilgil town earlier than surrendering himself to the police.
The Tuesday morning incident took place in Gilgil sub-county clinic personnel quarters where two minors died on Monday night time after they were poisoned through unknown persons.
In the modern-day incident, the middle-aged female who doubles as a nurse at the facility died after she was once stabbed over ten instances with the aid of the husband.
Following the incident, nurses in the busy facility downed their tools for over an hour as they moved to mourn with the family of the deceased.
A witness Jane Waithera said that they had been attracted to the residence of the deceased as she sought help.
“We are no longer positive what led the husband to commit this incident but the female has been stabbed,” she said.
A senior police officer from Gilgil police station confirmed the incident adding that the suspect was in their custody.
“The man after committing the incident walked to the police station and confessed to the murder.
The body has been gathered and taken to the local mortuary,” stated the officer.
