Khaby Lame, a Senegalese-born social media influencer and content creator, has made history by becoming the most followed TikToker in the world. Currently, Lame has over 142.9 million followers on TikTok.
He achieved this new milestone on Thursday by defeating American TikToker Charli D’Amelio. TikToker Amelio has 142.5 million. Amelio was the queen of TikTok for some time.
Khaby Lame makes funny and demonstrative videos. During the Covid-19 pandemic, he lost his job as a factory worker in Chivasso, Italy. Subsequently, he started making funny and D.I.Y videos on TikTok. Initial few videos were filmed in the Italian language. He used to dance to entertain the TikTok viewers.
He is best known for his TikTok videos, in which he silently mocks overly complicated life hack videos. Most of his viral videos usually show a life hack by another user, which is unnecessarily deemed to be difficult. Lame’s videos simplify the same hacks by showing easy ways to perform the task. Lame is just 22 years old.
He is also famous on social media for his signature comic expression. He gives an awesome expression after he solves a hack in any video. Lame’s silent signature step has helped him gain popularity on social media. Youth love him, and girls are also crazy about him.
Khaby Lame has over 78 million followers on Instagram. He earns money through sponsorships, brand endorsements and the TikTok creator fund. His estimated wealth is between $1.3 million to $2.7 million. He also has 1.2 million followers on Facebook.
Khaby Lame’s real name is Khabane Lame. He was born on March 9, 2000, in Senegal. He came to Italy when he was 1-year-old after his family moved to a public housing complex in Italy.
