Theres has been somewhat of sanity in the presidential election in Ivory Coast, as citizens casted their vote in peace not minding the concerns of political analyst over violence in today’s election.
The vote has been tense as occupant President Alassane Ouattara looks for a third term in a political race two opponent competitors have encouraged their allies to blacklist.
There have been pre-political race conflicts, which has slaughtered up to 30 individuals and it’s dreaded the viciousness found in the 2010 political decision, which saw 3,000 executed could reignite.
“We as a whole laid down with a touch of dread, on the grounds that specifically on informal organizations, there were numerous messages saying there were such challenges in such area, in such town, we were overpowered by these messages at an early stage,” said citizen Fama Toure.
The outcome of today’s elections will be made known in the coming weeks as President Alassane Ouattara will be hoping for re-election for third term against three major candidates in Ivory Coast, this has been one of the most peaceful election in the country.
