Rihanna Calls Davido’s ‘Unavailable’ Her Best Song Of 2023

Rihanna, a Barbadian singer, businesswoman, actress, and songwriter, has praised Nigerian singer Davido. She has said that Davido’s ‘Unavailable’ featuring Musa Keys is her best song of 2023. 

Davido, one of the most important Afrobeats artists of the 21st century, launched his highly anticipated fourth album ‘Timeless’ in 2023. The album gave chart-topping hit songs and broke multiple streaming records.

Unavailable is one of the best singles from his record-breaking fourth album ‘Timeless’. Popstar Rihanna has called ‘Unavailable’ her favorite song of the year.

Rihanna praises Davido

In a recent interview, the musician turned Billionaire entrepreneur revealed that she had played ‘Unavailable’ on repeat all year. Rihanna named ‘Unavailable’ as one of her favorite songs of 2023. 

Davido’s ‘Unavailable’ secured a spot in the top 10 of Spotify and Apple Music’s top Nigerian songs. The song also reached the summit of TurnTable Top 100. The single also led to multiple remixes, including one with Jamaican Dancehall legend Sean Paul and famous American rapper Latto.

Davido’s ‘Unavailable’

In July, Davido’s ‘Unavailable’ emerged as one of the biggest songs at the United Kingdom (UK) Singles Chart. ‘Unavailable’ gained immense popularity as it entered its 10th week on the chart.

At that time, ‘Timeless’ also surpassed 40 million listens on the global streaming service Spotify. It broke all records across all five major streaming platforms in Nigeria. 

Davido, who is the most-followed African musician on social media, gained all the attention because of his album and single ‘Unavailable’. 

In February 2024, ‘Unavailable’ will be competing for the Grammy award for Best African Music Performance. Davido hopes to pick up his first Grammy award out of his three nominations. With the 2024 Grammys nomination, the singer earned three nominations in one year. 

Last month, Davido faced trouble. Warri Again Concert organizers launched a legal battle against Davido. The Nigerian singer did not perform at a concert in Warri, southern Nigeria, on 6 October, despite receiving full payment of $94,600. 

Later on, he said, “I gotta bring Timeless to Delta State. We will do it properly, bigger and better !”
