Over the course of 352 days, the 27-year-old athlete covered an astounding distance of more than 16,000 kilometers, traversing 16 countries across the continent—an unprecedented feat. Reflecting on his arduous journey, Cook expressed the challenges he faced, saying, “It’s difficult to put into words. 352 days on the road, a substantial period without seeing my family or my girlfriend,” in an interview with Sky News.

The monumental adventure commenced on April 22, 2023, at Cape Agulhas in South Africa, the southernmost point of the continent. However, Cook’s path was far from smooth, as he encountered a myriad of obstacles throughout his expedition.
