The Nigeria International replied his critics with a man of the match performance in Everton’s victory over League One side, Fleetwood Town.
Iwobi’s future at Goodison Park has been a subject of debate due to the increased competition in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
However, in what was his first start after missing Everton’s opening two games of the season, Iwobi showed he still has a lot to offer in the Toffees squad.
Richarlison opened the scoring for Everton at Highbury in the 22nd minute, finishing off a brilliant ball from Bernard.
Iwobi get his first goal of the season in the 49 minutes of the game.
