Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has left Deportivo La Coruna for a three-year move to Cypriot side APOEL FC in an incredible move for the Nigerian international.
Uzoho actually joined Deportivo in January 2019, but the Nigerian goalie was not given active playing time and was loaned to Anorthosis Famagusta.
And after spending six months at Famagusta, the Nigerian goalie returned to Deportivo, but was sent on loan again this time around to Omonia Nikosia.
The 21-year-old spent the whole of last season at Nikosia and was impressive in all the games he played for the side before he got injured.
Uzoho got injured while playing for the Super Eagles of Nigeria in an international friendly game against Brazil which ended 1-1.
But before he got injured, his performances for Nikosia was noticed by APOEL who then signed him on a three-year contract.
Uzoho’s new club finished the third last season on the final League table and they will be preparing themselves for next term’s Champions League.
Meanwhile, Uzoho has recuperated from his injury and will be linking up with his new teammates for the preparation of next season which will kickoff in August.
