As part of His Highness’ working visit to Egypt, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Excellency Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi attended a ceremony in honour of the graduates of the Egyptian Military Academy and Colleges.
On arrival at the Egyptian Military Academy, His Highness and President El-Sisi were welcomed by Lieutenant General Abdel Majeed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence and Military Production, Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces, and several commanders of the Egyptian military branches, as well as Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem, Director of the Egyptian Military Academy.
President El-Sisi and His Highness were welcomed by a guard of honour and the playing of the national anthems of the two countries. Both leaders took part in a flag-raising ceremony, and helicopters flew overhead with the flags of the United Arab Emirates and Egypt, as well as the flags of the various branches of the Egyptian armed forces.
Signing the VIP visitors’ book was His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, who said he was delighted to join President El-Sisi at the ceremony and wished Egypt and its people continued progress.
In addition, the ceremony was attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-President of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court, as well as several members of the delegation accompanying His Highness on the visit.
