Virat Kohli picks two cricketers he considers ‘Greatest of All Time’

Virat Kohli, an Indian international cricketer and the former captain of the Indian national cricket team, has picked two cricketers he considers the ‘Greatest of All Time’. 

Former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper has reportedly said that Sachin Tendulkar, who is regarded as one of the greatest batsmen in the history of cricket, and Sir Vivian Richards, West Indies iconic player of all time, are the greatest of all time. The video has been shared by RCB, wherein Kohli picked GOAT players. Kohli said that these two players revolutionized the dynamics of batting. 

In the video shared by RCB, Virat was seen saying, “Sachin Tendulkar and Sir Viv Richards are the GOATs of Cricket. Sachin is my hero. These two have revolutionized batting in their generation and completely changed the dynamic of cricket. That is why I feel they are the two greatest.”

Tendulkar is the all-time highest run-scorer in ODI (One Day International) format with over 18,000 runs and in Test cricket with 15,000 runs. In his career, he took 201 international wickets. He also secured 100 centuries and 164 fifties.

On the other hand, Richards represented the West Indies cricket team between 1974 and 1991. In his career, he has received the ‘Wisden Cricketers of the Year’ and ‘Order of Caribbean Community’ awards. He is best known as the “KING OF SIXES.” He scored 8,540 runs in 121 Test matches and never lost a Test series as captain. He is the first player to take four wickets in an ODI. Richards is considered one of the best and highest-paid cricketers of all time.

Tendulkar and Richards are the greatest Test batsmen of all time. Richards once said, “I admire Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli.” 

Meanwhile, Kohli is set to play for RCB in the IPL this year. RCB will play against MI in their opener on April 2, 2023.
