The aim of this initiative is to encourage innovation andtechnological development in Kenya, by positioning the university as a key player in thecountry’s growing technological ecosystem.Silicon Savannah Innovation Park is designed to support start-ups, researchers andentrepreneurs by providing access to resources, mentoring and collaboration opportunities. Itreflects the government’s commitment to strengthening the country’s digital economy andpromoting research and development.President Ruto stressed the importance of innovation in stimulating economic growth andcreating employment opportunities for young people. He promoted partnerships betweenacademia, industry and government to accelerate technological progress.The creation of the innovation park is expected to attract local and international investors andenhance Kenya’s reputation as a centre for technology and innovation in the region.
