Cease-and-Desist Letter Sent

In addition, the bank has also sent out an official cease-and-desist letter to the people and websites responsible for spreading the rumor.

Those accused were told to:

  • Remove the misleading information immediately
  • Stop further propagation of the falsehood

Maintain any evidence and data related to the dissemination

Failure to comply will result in legal proceedings, including defamation cases and financial compensation, according to the bank.

UBA stressed that it is entirely dedicated to safeguarding the reputation of not only the company but also the chairman personally.

The organization reiterated that it would take every legal measure necessary to address this matter.
