Ajay Jadeja: South Africa can give teams a tough competition at T20 WC 2022

Ajay Jadeja, a former batter, predicted that South Africa could shock the world at the T20 World Cup in 2022. Starting on September 28 in Trivandrum, a three-match T20I series between the Proteas and India will feature Temba Bavuma as their captain.

After winning four out of five T20Is against Ireland and England, the Proteas will enter the white-ball matches.

Jadeja was reported on Cricbuzz as stating, “South Africa is a team that might surprise a number of teams in the World Cup and regrettably, they are in our pool.”

In Super 12 Group 2, South Africa is grouped alongside two qualifiers, Babar Azam’s Pakistan, Shakib Al Hasan’s Bangladesh, and Rohit Sharma’s India.

“I believe KL Rahul will have a terrific series and is someone to watch out for. The bowling of South Africa is ideal for him.” He said that his series versus Australia wasn’t as successful as he had hoped.

“Ravi Ashwin is a man I will keep an eye on, so I also hope he plays. From the perspective of India, he might be significant,” he continued.

Since India’s campaign in the 2022 Asia Cup, where he picked up two wickets against Sri Lanka and Afghanistan, Ashwin hasn’t played any cricket.

On the other hand, Rahul scored 66 runs at an average of 22 against the Australians in the first T20I at PCA Stadium in Mohali, with a high score of 55.

Rahul, 30, joined Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma as the third Indian to score 2000 runs in T20Is.

South Africa and India have three matches remaining before the big event in Australia. Therefore, questions like, “How is our death bowling doing?” will receive a lot of attention. Oh, you mean Bhuvneshwar Kumar isn’t?

However, didn’t he bowl a wicket maiden in the 19th over to deny Mumbai Indians the victory when they only needed 19 more runs? That feels absurd to even say it out loud. At least he is now distant from the commotion, sleeping.
