Bird Flu: Senegal Culls Over 40,000 Birds

There has been an outbreak of the bird flu in Senegal which as ultimately resulted in the killing of almost 40,000 domestic bird. This measures was taken to reduce the further spread of the flu.

As per an authority at the Senegalese Ministry of Livestock, the demise of almost 60, 000 fowls in earlier weeks, incited a lab test which found the flare-up of the winged creature influenza.

An examination is in progress to attempt to decide the cause of the tainting, the authority said.

The separating activity was done in association with the Ministry of Agriculture and the World Health Organization for Animal Health, among others.

Senegal has so far been saved of the winged creature influenza.
