Mobile operator MTN has appointed Ralph Mupita as its new team president and chief executive officer with effect from 1 September 2020.
Mupita has served as the MTN Group chief financial officer on the grounds that April 2017, and has played a position in the improvement and execution of the group’s strategy, capital allocation processes, financial overall performance as well as in the resolution of a range of complicated regulatory matters, the crew stated in a declaration on Wednesday (19 August).
He is a graduate of the University of Cape Town with a degree in engineering and an MBA.
Prior to joining MTN, Mupita was the chief government of Old Mutual Emerging Markets for 5 years, a business that provided economic services to people and corporates throughout 19 international locations in Africa, Latin America and Asia, managing over R1 trillion of purchaser property underneath management at the time.
