David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has announced the release date for his much-awaited new album. The Nigerian artist has taken to his Instagram account to reveal the release date of the album, titled “Timeless.”
Davido’s fourth studio album will be released on 31 March. Award-winning Nigerian singer and DMW Boss reflect on the creative process in the album video, which led up to the completion of the album.
The popular American-born Nigerian singer and record producer wrote on his Instagram account, “There is a time for everything. A time to grieve and a time to heal. A time to laugh and a time to dance. A time to speak and a time for silence.”
International Afrobeats star further said on Instagram that he wanted to remind his fans that what is now “Timeless”, was once new. He said, “It’s time for something new. My next album TIMELESS is here, March 31st.”
He further thanked his loyal fans for their love and support. He appreciated his fans for sending all the gifts to him. The popular artist was away for a long time following the tragic loss of his son, Ifeanyi. His three-year-old son, Chioma Rowland, died in October after drowning in a swimming pool at the residence in Lagos, Nigeria’s largest city.
In December, the Nigerian artist performed at the FIFA 2022 World Cup’s closing ceremony. Davido’s performance at the closing ceremony of FIFA was his first appearance after the tragic event. He was also featured on the official FIFA World Cup soundtrack ‘Hayya Hayya (Better Together)’.
Davido is also one of the richest musicians in Africa. He has also received various awards. Davido has also been named on the list of the Top 100 most influential Africans by New African magazine. Davido has also performed in the Flytime Fest. Davido made his music debut through the music group KB International.
