Former State House Director of Digital Communications Dennis Itumbi has been arrested.
Itumbi was arrested today at City Hall, Nairobi by investigators probing the alleged plot to assassinate Deputy President William Ruto that has pushed political temperatures to a new high.
Itumbi now works at the office of Deputy President as the secretary for digital communications.
He is currently being questioned at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters on Kiambu Road.
His arrest comes days after officers aware of the probe said the source of the fake letter that sparked the assassination claims had been identified.
