Egyptian Cinema Celebrates Mohamed Mahmoud Abdel Aziz Birthday

Today is the birthday of the magician of Egyptian cinema, the late artist Mahmoud Abdel Aziz. He is considered one of the most important stars of Egyptian cinema throughout its history.

Aziz was born in 1946 in the Wardan neighborhood in Alexandria. He began his studies in the neighborhood schools to pursue his university specialization at the Faculty of Agriculture, Alexandria University, where he obtained a master’s degree in Education bees.

He then traveled abroad, and worked in several professions, the most important of which was selling newspapers, and then returned to Egypt again.

After his return, the artist Mahmoud Abdel Aziz turned to the field of art, where his beginning was when the director Nour El-Demerdash presented him in the series “Al-Dawama” with Mahmoud Yassin and Nelly in 1973.

He then presented the starring role in front of the star Najwa Ibrahim in the movie “Until the End of Life,” which was shown in 1975.

Later on he presented several films in the seventies that were considered as a spread to him in the field of cinema, such as The Grandson and the Bird of the Sad Night, Shafiqa and Metwally, Able, Lulu, Ya Lulu Eib… and other works.

Until the nineties, where he presented his most prominent cinematic works, Kit Kat, and films such as The Sea Laughs Why, The Flood, The Mongoose. The Fun Market, until the 2000s, where two films were presented, the magician, Ibrahim Al-Abyad.

He presented the theater with two experiences, the play Rosewood in 1987, and the play 727 in 1993.

Presented for the drama series Al-Bashayer, Raafat Al-Hagan, Mahmoud Al-Masry, Bab Al-Khalq, Jabal Al-Halal.

He left our world on November 12, 2016 after a struggle with illness at the age of 70. After that, doctors discovered the presence of some cancerous tumors.

Mohamed Mahmoud Abdel Aziz traveled to France for treatment and then returned to Egypt, but fate did not allow him and died after that, leaving a great history of cinematic works.
