Entertainment:After ‘I stand with Zimbabwe’ post Lasizwe faces homophobic responses

Local entertainer Lasizwe spoke out about the homophobic feedback he’s been receiving after displaying support for the human beings of Zimbabwe.

This comes after claims of human rights violations began surfacing on-line with many users joining the #ZimbabweLivesMatter movement to create awareness about what is taking place in the country.

The “@Lasizwe: Fake It Till You Make It“ celebrity also joined in and posted ”I stand with Zimbabwe” on his Twitter page before this week.

There had been many Zimbabwean users who have been grateful for him displaying support.

“Lasizwe THANK YOU! And to assume extra South African celebrities have spoken out more than our own Zimbabwean ones have. Stand with us,” stated @ClauMoneyy.

Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, the truth TV celebrity shared that he used to be being accosted via homophobes online and that there was once nevertheless a lot of work left to be finished for the LGBTQI neighborhood in the rest of Africa.

“The homophobia I am currently experiencing from my fellow African brothers and sisters is heartbreaking! We nonetheless have a lengthy way to go for the LGBTQI neighborhood to be free in Africa!” he said.
