South African low-cost airline FlySafair is back at it again with its famous R11 flight sale returning in 2025 to commemorate the airline’s 11th year in operation. FlySafair is offering 50,000 seats for R11, which includes airport taxes and other charging fees— it is one of the cheapest ways to travel nationally!
Launch Date and Time:
The sale will begin at 9 PM on Wednesday, 7 May 2025 and will finish at 23;59 the same day. As was the case in previous years, FlySafair will conduct the sale through its website only, with no tickets offered for sale via the app or third-party sites.
In order to handle exceptional demand, the airline will operate a virtual waiting room system. Randomly selected customers (in the queue) will then have ten minutes to make their booking. FlySafair says this will make for a fair and a streamlined experience for everyone who wants a seat.
To keep customers entertained while they wait, the website also features a quirky new game called Flappy Plane, and visitors can enter a Free Flights for a Year competition.
Ticket Details and Availability:
In all a total of 50,000 seats will be sold across FlySafair’s domestic routes at the unbeatable price of R11—not even enough to purchase a chocolate bar or a litre of milk. Standout, this price even includes airport taxes which are well above R875 on routes like Cape Town to Johannesburg.
Departure dates for these tickets are valid for travel up until 30 November 2025.
