Fireboy DML is a famous Nigerian singer. His real name is Adedamola Adefolahan. He is a multi-award-winning afro-life singer and songwriter. He is a member of the YBNL (Yahoo Boys No Laptop) Nation, a recordfounded by a Nigerian rapper, Olamide, in 2012.

In 2020, Fireboy DML was nominated for the Song of the Year award for “Jealous” at the 2020 Soundcity MVP Awards Festival. He released his debut studio album Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps in 2019.

He was born on 5 February 1996 in Nigeria. The singer was raised in Abeokuta, Ogun state, Nigeria. He was a member of the church choir because of his love for music and singing. He started writing poems and some song lyrics at a young age. The singer came from a family of artists.

He studied at Obafemi Awolowo University. While studying at the university, he developed an interest in music and singing. He graduated from the university in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English.

He began his singing career at the university. He participated in some singing shows at the university. Later on, he became popular among students. After completing his education, he started making his own songs in Lagos, Nigeria’s largest city. In 2018, he joined the YBNL group. Subsequently, he dropped the song ‘Jealous’, which brought him immense success.
