On Global Humanitarian Day 2025, it is time to highlight the UAE’s notable humanitarian efforts in different parts of the planet. By mid-2024, the country’s foreign aid had already reached more than 1 billion people – a legacy.

HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed, Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), noted in a statement that the UAE has laid a solid foundation for the sustainability of humanitarian efforts, under the leadership of President HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed.

Humanitarian efforts at the core of UAE’s mission

Humanitarian efforts are a national priority and present at the core of the UAE’s mission. HH Sheikh Hamdan has stressed that the Gulf state is contributing efficiently to bolstering its response to global humanitarian crises.

UAE committed to strengthening international cooperation

The Global Humanitarian Day on Tuesday is an opportunity to better bring into focus the UAE’s efforts to reduce hunger, malnutrition, fighting, diseases, displacement, epidemics and more. The UAE is committed to strengthening international cooperation in the humanitarian field.

In its statement, the Emirates Red Crescent chairman also urged the international community and the UN agencies to intensify efforts, enhance partnerships and strengthen coordination on efforts and programmes that support people in need in different parts of the globe.
