1. Mauritius

Mauritius is the happiest country in Africa in 2023. The score of Mauritius is 6.071 in the World Happiness Report. Mauritius is also among the list of ten most peaceful countries in Africa. The country also has a high level of economic stability. 

2. Libya

Libya, a country in North Africa, is the second happiest country in the African continent. The score of  Libya is 5.330 in the World Happiness Report by the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network.

3. Ivory Coast

Ivory Coast, a country in West Africa, has a score of 5.235 in the World Happiness Report. It is the third African country where people feel happiest. People are usually friendly with each other. The country has more than 60 different indigenous tribes.

4. South Africa

South Africa is the fourth happiest country in Africa. The country has a score of 5.194 in the World Happiness Report. South African black people are usually friendly. They warmly welcome tourists to their country.

5. The Gambia

The Gambia is one of the happiest countries in Africa in 2022. The Gambia has a score of 5.164 in the World Happiness Report. The country is reasonably safe for tourists. It is also one of the most peaceful countries in Africa.

6. Algeria

Algeria, a North African country, is one of the happiest countries in Africa. The score of Algeria is 5.122 in the World Happiness Report. It is also the ninth-most populous country in Africa. Algerians usually love gatherings.

7. Liberia

Liberia, a West African country, is the seventh-happiest country in Africa. It has a score of 5.122 in the World Happiness Report. Even though half of Liberians live in poverty, they enjoy life. Liberians also value culture. 

8. Democratic Republic of the Congo

The Democratic Republic of the Congo is the eighth-happiest country in Africa. The country has a score of 5.075 in the World Happiness Report. Most people like to enjoy their life. However, rape and sexual violence are common in eastern Congo.
