India Announces Packed Home Cricket Schedule for Late 2025

The Board of Control for Cricket in India introduced a detailed list of cricket matches that will take place at home during the second half of 2025. The Indian national cricket team plans two international series against South Africa and the West Indies from October through December 2025.

The cricket tour against West Indies starts with Test matches on October 2 at Ahmedabad Stadium. The evening Tetestegins at the Narendra Modi Stadium before moving on to Eden Gardens, Kolkata, fronctober 10th through 14th. The competition returns with its original rivalry, but this will be the first Test cricket engagement since India won 1-0 in July 2023.

India will begin a complete series with South Africa later in November after completing their schedule with the West Indies. The Test series with South Africa holds unique importance because Guwahati will debut as the first location for a Test match. The national cricket team of India kicks off its first test tournament of the month on November 14 through November 18 at the historic Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. The venue for its 360th test match revolves around the stadium in Guwahati and takes place from November 22 through November 26.

The South Africa series then transitions to limited-overs cricket with three ODIs scheduled at:

  • Ranchi (November 30th)
  • Raipur (December 3rd)
  • Visakhapatnam (December 6th)

The tour concludes with an extended five-match T20I series across prominent Indian cricket venues:

  • Cuttack (December 9th)
  • New Chandigarh (December 11th)
  • Dharamsala (December 14th)
  • Lucknow (December 17th)
  • Ahmedabad (December 19th)

South Africa and India will face each other in their longest bilateral series since the Indian team visited South Africa for games in 2023-2024. Cricket fans remember that India won the T20 World Cup 2024 Final against South Africa at the hands of captain Rohit Sharma.
