The Trade Promotion Organization of Iran revealed its plan to launch a special shipping line to West Africa through its recent announcement. TPO presented the news ahead of the third Iran-Africa Economic Cooperation Summit that will take place from May 7-11, 2025.
The TPO leader Mohammad Ali Dehghan Dehnavi said President Pezeshkian chose Africa as a priority destination in Iran’s economic diplomacy which brought about a dedicated secretariat for Iran-Africa cooperation. This plan encourages private sector investment by taking Iranian companies and business leaders to African Markets through trade events and international meetings.
Iran protects its money movement through the Central Bank and targets African oil gas and mining industries for investment. Under this approval by Africa Headquarters the TPO can further develop commercial connections between Iran and the African region. He underlined that foreign embassies help ease business relationships and want the areas to work together more often to share operational data.
