Motherland 2025: A Global Invitation to Discover Nigeria’s Cultural Pulse

President Bola Tinubu has extended an invitation to the international community to join Motherland 2025, an unprecedented cultural festival in Abuja and Lagos from December 15 to 21, 2025. Tinubu called the event a “decisive moment of unity and purpose,” and expects the festival to bring together voices from Africa and the diaspora, establishing Nigeria’s leadership on the African continent.

In his second year in office, President Tinubu mentioned the festival as a celebration of Nigeria’s rich heritage, vibrant creative sectors and commitment to cultural renaissance, economic expansion and international outreach. ”We are ready to welcome everybody as part of democracy and national renewal,” said Tinubu. “The Motherland festival will showcase our beauty through tourism, culture and innovations and tell the world to come back to Nigeria.”

Partnering with the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, Discover Motherland Africa will host a vibrant seven day cultural immersion. Minister Hannatu Musawa called it a “new era for tourism” with pavilions from state governments, business forums, entertainment tracks, fashion markets and innovation exhibits across technology, real estate and healthcare.

With a mandate to close the gap between Nigeria and its global diaspora, the event also aims to open new doors for professional networks, investments and partnerships in telecommunications, banking, aviation and hospitality.

More than just a festival, Motherland 2025 is a powerful reunion where cultural roots spark opportunity and celebration becomes a catalyst for transformation. Whether you’re coming for the culture, commerce or connection, Nigeria is ready to host the world.
