Security officers in South Africa has arrested five suspected killers of Senzo Meyiwa, a former captain of the South African National team. He was brutally murdered in 2014, since then his killers has been on the run.
The late Senzo Meyiwa was a goal keeper for the national team, he was 27 when he was shot in the home of his girlfriend, since then security forces has tried to apprehend his killers but couldn’t catch the culprits.
Public police magistrate Khehla Sitole said one of the prisoners was “the key speculate associated with having pulled the trigger”.
Sitole clarified that key ballistic proof developed when agents found the gun used to fire Meyiwa and connected it back to the wrongdoing scene.
“We have a solid case this time since it is supported by proof,” he stated, taking note of that the “breaking of the case” had simply corresponded with the homicide’s commemoration.
The five suspects are booked to be officially charged in court next Tuesday.
