Nigeria’s FLEX Launches Mobile Payments with Zero Fee Transfers and PayTag™ Innovation for Everyday Users

In a major development for the Nigerian fintech space, FLEX has launched its national Mobile Payments Platform that offers free person-to-person transfers. FLEX’s key innovation is the PayTag™ that replaces bank account numbers with memorable, easy to use handles like “₦TochiFlex” which makes it easier to send and receive money.

“We believe access and ease shouldn’t come at a cost for everyday money movement,” said Chika Okere, Founder and CEO, FLEX. “Every single user is entitled to have financial tools that work for them, not against them.”

The architecture of the platform is prepared for instant transactions, leading to increased efficiency of financial transfers. The integration of QR code capabilities further simplifies vendors’ payment methods and addresses the wide variety of users like students, freelancers, small business owners and families subdividing expenses away from each other.

Since its private launch on May 19, 2025 FLEX has been proving to us that it can process thousands of fee-free transactions. And it has done so, consistently and successfully, at a very high transaction volume and with instant settlement speed.

The Bank Verification Number (BVN) integration was made to help with user identity verification and account security. Security is core to the platform and aligns with national goals surrounding financial inclusion and Nigeria’s digital economic growth.
FLEX is now live and available for download in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. Please visit their official website at: www.yourflexpay.com.
