Nollywood: Portable wins Golden Star Awards, vows to win a Grammy

Habeeb Olalomi Oyegbile, popularly known as Portable, has been making headlines in Nigeria because of his lifestyle and singing talent.

Portable, a Nigerian singer, rapper, and songwriter, has been given the Golden Star Artist of the Year award for his efforts in the singing industry in Nigeria. 

On Monday, he was given the prestigious award. After receiving the Golden Star Awards, he vowed to win a Grammy. He reportedly said, “I collect Golden Stars Award, I go collect Grammy come home.” He also thanked his fans for all of their support and love. 

Portable was born on 12 March 1994 in Ijesha, Osun State, Nigeria. He completed his education in Nigeria. He became famous with the song “ZaZoo Zehh,” featuring Nigerian rapper Olamide and Nigerian dancer Poco Lee.

This year, Portable has been in the limelight because of controversies. He was accused of stealing and assaulting Osimusi Emmanuel. He was charged with five counts of assault and stealing. He was produced at the Magistrate court in Ifo in April 2023.

He pleaded not guilty to all the charges. The court also granted him bail. He was granted bail by an Ogun State Magistrate court in IFO after a long wait.
