Thousands of runners return this weekend to complete the Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon in Cape Town while creating traffic problems in the racing areas. This famous event holds events over two days starting from April 5-6, 2025, while earning its ‘World’s Most Beautiful Marathon’ title. On Saturday, see the Ultra Marathon’s challenges, and on Sunday’s Half Marathon attracts runners worldwide.
The races kick off at Newlands Swimming Pool on Main Road and later follow stunning views during their path across Cape Town’s beautiful scenery. The Ultra Marathon starts from Newlands Swimming Pool following Main Road south to False Bay, then crosses Chapman’s Peak Drive to Hout Bay and Constantia Nek before ending at UCT.
