Security Personnels Reportedly Targeting Journalists In Uganda

Citizens of Uganda are highly anticipating the forthcoming election in the country, there has been a report about security forces targeting journalist in Uganda. Particularly journalist documenting opposition’s members activities.

Columnists particularly those covering resistance competitors and hostile to government fights have been captured, beaten or had their hardware seized or wrecked by the Police.

One press opportunity guard dog says it has recorded more than 100 assaults since November when official selections were held.

“These have been purposeful assaults where a few officials have even cautioned columnists to take shots at them and have proceeded to take shots at them occasioning wounds on them. This has never occurred during a political race in Uganda.
