Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi is set for his first in shape this season for Everton when they host Salford City in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.

The 24-year-old was once snubbed by supervisor Carlo Ancelotti for the premier league opener towards Tottenham Hotspur last Sunday. New signing James Rodriguez used to be preferred on the right aspect of midfield and the Toffees went on to win 1-0.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin made the difference in the second half when he connected Lucas Digne’s flat left-wing free-kick with a thunderous header to snatch the win against Jose Mourinho’s guys in London.

Ancelotti is expected to relaxation a lot of the gamers that began in opposition to Spurs with the likes of Iwobi and Theo Walcott given a run-out towards Salford.

Iwobi made 25 Premier League appearances for Everton in his debut season and scored just once.
