Nigerian football star Victor Osimhen edges closer to sealing a dream move to Serie A giants Napoli this summer after been spotted in Italy.
The 21-year-old striker who recently won the 2020 edition of the Prix Marc-Vivien Foe award has been on the radar of the Partenopei.
Osimhen attracted the attention of top European clubs following his stellar performances in his debut season in France.
The Super Eagles forward scored 18 goals and registered six assists in 38 appearances for Lille across competitions.
According to Brila.net quoting Sky reporter and Transfer journalist Dimarzio, Napoli are in pole position to land the Nigerian star.
Tottenham Hotspur’s boss Jose Mourinho has also shown interest in the player but the presence of Harry Kane made the youngster reject the deal.
Chelsea and Liverpool among others have also been linked with the highly-rated goal poacher but Napoli seem to be his next destination.
Osimhen and his representatives are in Italy to finish up their negotiations and hopefully signed the contract papers.
Reports claim the former Wolfsburg man who is valued at €70M will sign a five year deal with the Serie A giants valued around €4 million annual salary apart from bonuses.
Meanwhile, part of his trip to Italy will see him meet with his prospective club directors, visit the city, and evaluate a potential transfer to the Italian side.
