Twitter, an American social media company based in San Francisco, is in the limelight due to a lawsuit. Twitter’s former PR (public relations) firm has sued the social media company over unpaid bills.
As per a Reuters article, Joele Frank, a leading PR firm, has filed a lawsuit against Twitter. The public relations company claimed that Twitter had failed to pay its bills since tech billionaire Elon Musk assumed control of the micro-blogging site.
Reportedly, Twitter has failed to pay an amount totalling USD 830,498 to the PR firm. The pending dues consist of six unpaid invoices and expenses related to a subpoena incurred during Twitter’s legal action to compel Elon Musk to buy the social media platform.
The PR firm said that Twitter ended their contract on November 16. However, the company alleged that Twitter failed to settle its outstanding invoices.
Elon Musk bought Twitter in October 2022 for USD 44 billion. Subsequently, Twitter announced various changes for the platform. The purchase remained a popular topic in the business and technology sectors for various months.
