On Monday, President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi of Egypt welcomed the United Arab Emirates President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the El Alamein International Airport. This fraternal visit also marks a definitive one for strengthening the longstanding diplomatic ties between the UAE and Egypt and also in discussing strategic partnership between the two countries.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed was welcomed warmly by the Egyptian leader as the two further discussed the deep rooted bond and history shared by the nations. Both the leaders reflected their mutual admiration and respect for each other.
Subjects of discussion include regional stability, security and strengthening the bilateral cooperation between the UAE and Egypt. Among the frequent visits and diplomatic events where the two heads of state have been cordial and of similar interests in both UAE and Egypt like the official visit in October and one before that in June that had firm discussion on the ongoing Gaza war. Both Sheikh Mohammed and El-Sisi have called for a Ceasefire in Gaza during their meeting in June, also reflecting their shared understanding on peace in the region.

UAE’s Sheikh Mohammed also expressed his gratitude towards the warm welcome and hospitality in Egypt and affirmed on the lengthening of their ties. Egypt’s leader Abdel Fatah El-Sisi also remembered the strong foundation laid by the late leader Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and reassured Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s presence was most welcomed in Egypt.
