Uganda: Government Calls For The Blocking Of Social Media

Uganda government authorities has explicitly called for the ban of social media ahead of the presidential election between Incumbent president Yoweri Museveni and opposition members particularly Bobi Wine. The presidential election is coming up on January 14th.

The stages were being utilized for crusading by up-and-comers, for example, pop-star turned government official Bobi Wine, who has arisen the fundamental challenger to 76-year-old President Museveni.

Wine on Tuesday claimed his house was struck and staff beaten by security powers in front of the political decision.

Wine, whose genuine name is Robert Kyagulanyi, said the decision party was attempting to drive electors off from the voting booth and asked them to record any maltreatments or anomalies on surveying day.
