Vodacom to Increase Out-of-Bundle Rates from June 2025 – Here’s What You’ll Pay

Vodacom notified that the annual update on selected products and services would take place on first June 2025. This annual update will primarily affect customers on all Contract and TopUp price plans, and customers will notice an increase in Out-of-Bundle (OOB) rates. Voice OOB rates will increase by approximately 2 cents per minute, and data OOB rates will increase by approximately 2 cents per megabyte (MB).

These changes will also affect prepaid customers. The Power Pack plan will see an increase of 6.9% in OOB data rates, while most other prepaid plans will see an increase of approximately 4.1% such as Power Bonus, NXT LVL, Zetnet. Voice OOB rates for prepaid plans will increase approximately 1.2%, and only the prepaid 79c plan will see a 2.5% increase.

Vodacom started informing customers about the planned changes via SMS messaging in April, claiming the changes were necessary to maintain service quality and reliable coverage, amid high operating costs. They encourage customers to review their plans and consider bundle options to help mitigate higher OOB charges starting June.
