WhatsApp will allow desktop users to select multiple chats

WhatsApp Inc releases new features frequently to enhance user experience and privacy. The meta-owned instant messaging app is all set to bring more features for desktop users.

According to reports, WhatsApp is working on a new feature that would be helpful for web users. As per the update, WhatsApp will allow web users to select multiple chats.

According to WABetaInfo, the new feature would give users the ability to select multiple chats on WhatsApp Desktop beta. It would allow them to manage their chat list more efficiently and delete chat altogether. They could select multiple chats and mark unread or read for those chats together.

The WhatsApp feature ‘Select Chats’ would be seen within the chat menu. Currently, the feature is being developed. It will be released soon for testing.

Reportedly, WhatsApp is also working on another feature known as a ‘report status feature’, which will allow users to report any suspicious status update. WhatsApp aims to make the platform secure for users. This feature would also be released soon for testing. WhatsApp would take action against the reported status only after the flag is raised by a user.

WhatsApp has already launched the undo ‘delete for me’ feature for users. With this new feature, WhatsApp users can now undo a message which they accidentally deleted for themselves. They could retrieve a message deleted by accident, which means they could undo the ‘Delete for Me’ message within a few seconds.

This year, WhatsApp introduced various features for users. It introduced WhatsApp avatar, community and status reactions options. It launched various other features, including the option of messaging yourself, making a group with yourself and polls. Now users can send messages to their own phone numbers, which would also be delivered to their linked devices. The users can also create their personalised avatars and set them as their profile pictures.
