Zimbabwe: Government Authorities Extends Lockdown Until February

The government authorities in Zimbabwe has declared the extension of the lockdown in the country till February 15, this is a move to reduce the spread of the coronavirus in the country. The lockdown was initially supposed to be a 30-day lockdown but had to be further extended.

VP Constantino Chiwenga conveyed a live location on the public Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) on the most recent expansion of the level-four lockdown.

Chiwenga, who is additionally the country’s wellbeing clergyman, made the location at the country’s Health Ministry in the capital Harare in the midst of a spike in Covid related passings and rising contaminations.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa had forced a 30-day public lockdown on Jan. 5 after a spike in COVID-19 cases in the country.

Zimbabwe has announced 32,646 Covid cases up until now and 1,160 passings because of COVID-19, alongside 24,419 recuperations from the infection.
