Zimbabwean Suspected Sex Slaves Freed in SA Brothels Raid

30+ women suspected to be sex slaves in South Africa have been freed after South African Police Service raided notorious brothels in Mpumalanga Province the Chronicle reports.

This was confirmed by the South African provincial police spokesperson for Mpumalanga Brigadier Leonard Hlathi who said:

As police, we acted on a tip-off and raided houses which were used as brothels in eMalahleni to rid the area of drugs and pro_stitution and rescued 50 foreign nationals. They were all undocumented, a majority of which were from Zimbabwe. We also arrested more than 60 people for various offences, including prosti_tution, possession of drugs and human trafficking.
