Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Kennedy Osei Nyarko is already writing off John Dramani Mahama and the opposition National Democratic Congress in the 2020 polls threatening to resign from politics if the party is able to garner 48% of the total votes.

The Minister who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for Akim Swedru Constituency in the Eastern Region wrote in a post, “Today is 10th August 2019. If the NDC goes beyond 48% in the next general elections I will quit doing politics indefinitely and concentrate on my private business. Whoever thinks I am just bluffing can mark down today’s date”

Nana Akufo-Addo in the 2016 elections, beat then-President John Mahama by polling 5,716,026 million votes, representing 53.85%, while John Mahama polled 4,713,277 million votes representing 44.40%, the worse so far for an incumbent President.
