2025/26 Confederation of African Football Marches Ahead Amidst Shadow of War!

War is something which is hated by the ‘Global Citizens’ because it just leaves remains, pain, loss, grief and destruction. Yet, some nations are forcibly placed to encounter all the crying shame which could affect even generations. But Sudan has emerged as a stand out by taking part in the game to get qualified in the 2025/26 Confederation of African Football League.

A one-month Mini-League will be taking place despite the civil war in Sudan and a total of eight top clubs will be featured in this tournament. Considering the safety of the players and the audiences the matches are scheduled in army-controlled cities such as Ad-Damer and Atbara. As of now, Al Hilal and Al Merrikh are leading the standings and they aim for the ‘Q’ (Qualified) mark for CAF Champions League

The nation might be stuck with the internal crisis due to war but this tournament has brought a ray of hope and unity through this domestic football after two years. This event has helped the people and the players to find a moment of normalcy between the chaos.
