The health ministry in South Africa has confirmed that the number of coronavirus cases in the country has surpassed the one million mark, which is quite alarming. Health minister Zweli Mkhize said that citizens of the country should observe the Covid-19 safety protocols so as to reduce the spread of the virus.

It required fourteen days for the aggregate number of cases to arrive at 900,000 from 800,000. Nonetheless, it required just nine days to arrive at 1 million after the nation revealed 900,000 cases.

From Wednesday to Friday, South Africa revealed more than 14, 000 day by day cases, setting another every day record for three sequential days as occupants have penetrated the limitations during the Christmas occasions.

Numerous nations and districts, including the UK, France, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Switzerland, have forced travel restrictions to and from South Africa after another variation of the Covid was detected in the country.

So far the health ministry has tested over six million people, with one million people testing positive for the novel coronavirus.
