AFCON 2019: Salah Scores Again As Egypt Beat Uganda To Win Group A

Mohamed Salah curled in a free kick as Egypt beat Uganda 2-0 on Sunday at the Cairo International Stadium as they topped their group while their opponents joined them in the last 16.
Liverpool forward scores his second goal in the tournament in the 36th minute after the host nations withstood a bright start by the Cranes.
However, Aston Villa defender Ahmed Elmohamady doubled the Pharaohs’ lead in first-half stoppage time to completed Group A with a 100 percent record in their three games and no goals conceded.
The result helped group winners Egypt to move on from the headlines regarding Amr Warda, who will return to contention for a place in Javier Aguirre’s team after the Egyptian Football Association overturned the decision to expel him from the squad for alleged sexual harassment.

DR Congo’s win over Zimbabwe means second-placed Uganda progress to the knockout stages of this competition for the first time in 41 years, having last done so in 1978 when they were the eventual runners-up.
